The scientific journal "Bulletin of Shakarim University" was founded in 1997. The founder and publisher of the journal is the NJC "Shakarim University of Semey". In 2012, by the decision of the Committee for Control in the Field of education and Science (Order No. 1082 of 10.07.2012) was included in the "List of publications recommended for publication of the main results of scientific activity". In 2021, the journal was renamed "Bulletin of Shakarim University. Technical Sciences". The Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan issued a certificate of registration of a periodical, news agency and online publication No. KZ82VPY00033667 dated 03/19/2021 and the International Center for Registration of Serial Publications (France, Paris) assigned ISSN 2788-7995.

A contract was signed with the supplier of Clever Consult LLP for membership in Crossref, obtaining a prefix for a scientific publication and providing DOI.
